Allied Technician - Respiratory Therapist

Respiratory TherapistThe Respiratory Therapist is either registered or certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care to provide cardiopulmonary services. This role is responsible for following protocols approved by the medical staff and department policies and procedures to offer timely diagnostic and therapeutic services to both inpatients and outpatients.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures.Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas.Maintain patient airways and manage ventilators.Insert arterial lines and perform intubations.Conduct pulmonary function studies.Perform cardiac and pulmonary stress tests.Analyze blood gases.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist with intubation experience.Must possess NBRC RRT or CRT certification.Tennessee Respiratory Therapist license required.Current ACLS and BLS certifications required, must be from the American Heart Association.
