Legal Billing Coordinator

Billing CoordinatorOur client, a prominent, mid-size TheCC law firm, has an immediate opening for a billing coordinator. The candidate will be responsible for handling all accounts payable to a company by supervising invoicing and communicating directly with clients. Billing coordinators make sure that all customers are charged appropriately by keeping thorough records of all payments and bills. $65,000 - $75,000 / yrPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:Communicate with partners, support staff, & clients as needed regarding billing and payment issues.Disburse retainer funds and send out correspondence to clients regarding the same.Process pre-bills (including but not limited to editing, adding time).Prepare and submit invoices electronically or by mail.Responsible for editing and generating invoices for electronic billing systems such as TyMetrix 360, LegalX, BottomLine Technologies, Mitratech and CounselLink.Perform conflicts checks and opening files.Perform other related duties as assigned.The ideal candidate must have the following skills for consideration:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrates attention to detail.Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.Works ethically and with integrity.Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.Ability to prioritize tasks.Must have strong knowledge of billing and financial concepts.Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.Must have 2+ years' experience in law firm billing.Proficient in Prolaw/ELITE a plus.Our client offers a collegial work environment with competitive salary and benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, life and long-term disability insurance, and a 401(k) program.
