Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a new department focused on rapid patient admissions. This position is available for a limited contract duration and involves working in a fast-paced acute care environment.This position is for a 26-week term with a firm start date, either October 5 or October 12.Schedule: 36 hours per weekHours: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PMHoliday Requirement: May be required to work on holidays as neededFloating: May be required to float to other unitsInitiate admission orders for incoming patientsComplete the admission navigator processDocument the initial admission assessment thoroughlyActive Kansas state license or multistate license requiredBLS and ACLS certifications through AHA requiredExperience managing cardiac and anticoagulant drips, such as Cardizem and HeparinThe ideal candidate will possess the following traits:Ability to work independently with minimal oversightDemonstrated adaptability and efficiency in a dynamic, high-volume environmentStrong time management and clinical judgment skillsFlexibility to support rapid patient progression through the admission processThis role is situated in a Level II Trauma Center located in Topeka, Kansas, which has been recognized for excellence in patient care. Candidates should be comfortable managing a variety of patient diagnoses in an acute care setting that requires quick and effective decision-making.
