Lead Radiologic Technologist, Nights

Job Summary Responsible to assist the manager with operational oversight, improvement of clinical operations, and staff supervision. Functions include training, mentoring, evaluating clinical staff, overseeing coordination of clinical activities for students, coordination of patient care and flow, telephone triage, medical information management, and clinical support for the radiologist. Also performs the duties of a clinical staff member and serves as a role model and resource person for staff in the department. This position acts as a liaison between the clinical staff, managers, and the Radiologists. Essential Functions Assist management with operational oversight, quality improvement, operational flow, performance measurement, and implementation of new practices. Assist in providing guidance to staff, staff scheduling, triage duties, and act as a resource to staff. Oversee coordination of clinical activities for students to ensure they meet core curriculum requirements. Assure high-quality radiographs are submitted by technologists to support accurate diagnosis. Demonstrate positive customer service focus by delivering exemplary patient contact while executing radiology clinical duties. Act as a liaison between clinical staff, managers, and radiologists. Record digital images as directed for radiologist interpretation. Provide radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards. Qualifications Education: Other Certificate/Diploma in Radiography required or Associate’s Degree in Radiography preferred. Licenses: Radiologic Technologist (State License) required; Registered Technologist (ARRT) required. Experience: 2-3 years of radiologic technologist experience with multiple patient populations. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Good communication skills; ability to evaluate and problem-solve; ability to work independently; ability to guide, teach, and motivate others; good business acumen skills.
