Description/Notes:

Leads the District's budget, treasury, and debt management functions to ensure fiscal integrity, regulatory compliance, and effective stewardship of financial resources. Partners with the Chief Financial Officer to advance strategic initiatives, strengthen financial systems and internal controls, and drive operational excellence through process and technology improvements.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or a business-related field required
Master’s Degree in a business-related field or hold valid CPA license strongly preferred, but exceptional, relevant experience may be substituted for Master’s Degree or CPA license
Registered Texas School Business Administrator preferred
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the management of financial systems, budgeting, financial reporting, financial data analysis and auditing

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Extensive knowledge of governmental accounting, public school finance, and TEA Financial Accountability Systems Resource Guide (FASRG)
Proficiency with MUNIS, Microsoft Excel, and financial technology systems
Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to interpret financial data, policies, and regulations to support strategic decision-making
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, lead projects, and meet deadlines

Experience:
Three-five years’ successful administrative experience in public school accounting, auditing, or other governmental accounting
Experience with Frontline/TEAMS Finance System a plus

Salary Range:

$115,298 - $138,362 - Commensurate with experience
