Back and Front Office Medical Assistant

A growing Family Medicine practice in the Evergreen area of San Jose is looking for a trained Front Office Medical Assistant ( preferably ho is fluent in Hindi or Punjabi) . The ideal candidate should have the ability to communicate well and work in a collaborative atmosphere.

Job requirements are:

- 1 years of medical assistant experience is MUST

- Front office experience in scheduling patients, verifying insurance, obtaining authorizations, answering phone and maintaining doctor's schedule.

- Should have some experience with back office work and ability to multitask

- Must be thoroughly familiar with medical terminology and should be able to take vital signs, room patients, return calls, set up procedure trays, administer immunization and handle medical record keeping.

- Ability to supervise externs

We expect our medical assistant to be:

- professional, responsible and reliable in dealing with patients - fluent in English and able to communicate in Hindi or Punjabi

- able to juggle multiple things in this very busy practice.
