Structural Engineer in Training

Role Description We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Structural Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our Austin team in a full-time, hybrid capacity. In this role, you will work directly alongside seasoned professional engineers, supporting the structural design process from initial concept through construction administration. This is an incredible opportunity to gain comprehensive, hands-on experience across a diverse portfolio of project types while earning the credit hours needed for your P.E. license. Key Responsibilities Design & Analysis: Assist in structural design, perform load calculations, and conduct structural analyses for various building systems. Documentation: Utilize Revit to generate precise structural construction drawings, details, and models. Collaboration: Coordinate closely with internal teams, architects, contractors, and consultants to balance architectural intent with constructibility. Project Support: Support the design process through all phases, ensuring project goals, budgets, and engineering codes are met. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a strong focus/foundation in Structural Engineering. Certification: EIT certification preferred (or the clear ability to obtain it within six months of hire). Software Skills: Proficiency in Revit is required, along with exposure to industry-standard structural analysis software. Core Competencies: Excellent problem-solving skills, rigorous attention to detail, and strong communication/collaboration habits. Knowledge Base: Exposure to building codes and standards (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC) is a strong plus.
