Server Assistant PositionSouthern Hospitality Company, an entity of Southern Land Company, is headquartered in Nashville, TN and is seeking a Server Assistant to open our new Italian restaurant, Lupo Notte. The successful candidate will be able to work independently, in a fast-paced work environment.The Server Assistant plays a key support role in delivering an exceptional guest experience in a fast-paced upscale restaurant environment. This position supports the front-of-house team through table maintenance, food running, bar support, and overall dining room organization. Successful candidates are hospitality-driven, detail-oriented, and thrive in a team-focused atmosphere.Responsibilities include:Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room throughout serviceReset and prepare tables quickly and accuratelyRefill water, polish glassware, and assist with guest needs when appropriateSupport servers in maintaining smooth and attentive serviceMonitor guest areas to ensure a clean, polished, and welcoming environmentDeliver food promptly and accurately from the kitchen to guestsCommunicate clearly with chefs, expo, and service staffDescribe dishes and accompaniments when delivering foodEnsure proper presentation standards are met before food leaves the kitchenAssist with pacing and timing of courses during serviceRestock liquor, beer, wine, garnishes, ice, glassware, and bar suppliesMaintain cleanliness and organization behind the barAssist bartenders with operational support during serviceRemove trash and cardboard as neededHelp maintain prep pars and opening/closing dutiesKnowledge, skills, and abilities include:Strong work ethic: Reliable and willing to perform any task needed to help the bar run smoothly with a strong sense of urgency and ability to multitaskAttention to detail: Ability to notice when supplies are low and to keep the bar area tidyTeamwork: Works closely with bartenders and other staff to ensure efficient serviceOrganization: Must be able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility: A willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysCommunication: Ability to communicate clearly and professionallyPreferred experience includes:High school diploma or GEDTennessee ABC Server Card (must be attained in first 90 days on property)Previous restaurant experience, preferably in upscale or high-volume environmentsFamiliarity with menu items, different types of alcohol, and basic knife skills for garnish preparation is preferredPhysical demands include:Frequently standing and walkingSome lifting up to 25-50 lbs. involving tasks like carrying kegsSouthern Land Company believes that community is the heart of every successful development project.
