Responsibilities Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures including fillings, extractions, and implant surgery Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms between patients Take dental X-rays (radiographs) as directed Greet patients, review medical histories, and ensure a comfortable patient experience Prepare setups for specific dental procedures Maintain accurate patient records and update charts using Dentrix software Educate patients on post-procedure care and answer any questions or concerns Be prepared for the day by going over daily huddle with team Order supplies for practice in coordination with doctor Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; dental assisting certification or vocational training preferred Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is a MUST Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments Dental radiography Dexis Strong knowledge of Dentrix software Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, patient-centered approach Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment Experience in dental surgery a plus Has a proven record of being reliable and professional About Us Dental Expressions is a trusted dental practice proudly serving the Bayside, NY community with comprehensive, high-quality dental care.
