The position reports to a designated transportation hub within the region and requires regular travel between market pick-up locations.The Vehicle Transport Associate is responsible for safely transporting purchased vehicles from customer pickup locations to designated auction facilities throughout an assigned region. In this role, you'll work closely with Vehicle Acquisition Specialists, dispatch personnel, and auction partners to support the Company's vehicle remarketing operations.Employees report to their designated transportation hub at the beginning of each shift, receive transportation assignments, and travel throughout the assigned market delivering vehicles to designated destinations.As business needs require, you may also be assigned transportation duties involving the safe transportation of employees between operational locations, auction facilities, and vehicle pickup sites.This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy driving, working independently, managing their own schedule within a structured environment, and contributing to a fast-paced automotive operation.You'll spend your days on the road rather than behind a desk, working independently while remaining connected to a supportive operations team. This role provides the opportunity to work with a variety of vehicles, travel throughout your assigned market, and play a critical role in the vehicle acquisition and remarketing process.You'll be equipped with company-provided technology and tools necessary to receive assignments, navigate routes, document vehicle conditions, and communicate with team members in the field.For individuals who value autonomy, responsibility, and a safety-first environment, this position offers meaningful work with clear expectations and daily variety.Safely transport purchased vehicles from designated pickup locations to assigned auction facilitiesConduct vehicle inspections before and after transport, documenting vehicle condition, mileage, and any observed damageVerify VINs, vehicle information, and required transport documentationFollow established transportation routes, safety procedures, and operational guidelinesMaintain communication with dispatch, management, and operational partners regarding assignment statusUtilize company-provided mobile applications, GPS navigation tools, and communication systems to complete assignmentsAccurately complete required paperwork, electronic records, and delivery confirmationsSafely transport employees between designated hub locations, vehicle pickup sites, auction facilities, and other operational locations as assignedOperate approved transportation vehicles while maintaining professionalism and a strong commitment to safetyCoordinate transportation schedules and routes to support operational efficiencyConduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections when operating company transport vehiclesPromptly report accidents, vehicle issues, traffic violations, or safety concernsMaintain punctuality, attendance, and adherence to assigned schedulesWork safely in varying weather, traffic, and outdoor conditions while supporting daily operational goalsDependable individuals who take pride in safe vehicle operationSelf-starters who work effectively with minimal supervisionProfessionals who maintain a strong attention to detail and accuracyIndividuals with strong situational awareness and defensive driving skillsTeam members who adapt well to changing priorities and assignmentsOrganized professionals who can manage multiple transportation assignments throughout the dayCustomer service-oriented individuals who represent the company professionally in the fieldDrivers who enjoy working independently while supporting a larger team operationValid state-issued driver's license requiredMinimum of three (3) years of licensed driving experience preferredAcceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required and must be maintained throughout employmentMust remain insurable under the Company's automobile insurance programHigh school diploma or GED preferredPrevious professional driving, transportation, delivery, logistics, automotive, or related experience preferredExperience operating various vehicle makes and models preferredProficiency using smartphones, GPS navigation, mobile applications, and electronic communication toolsAbility to work independently in a field-based environmentAbility to safely transport both vehicles and passengersAbility to drive for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform vehicle inspectionsAbility to lift and carry items up to approximately 25 poundsPosition Type: Part-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt. This field-based position requires regular travel between transportation hubs, vehicle pickup locations, auction facilities, and other operational locations throughout the assigned market.
