About the Role
Spotted Donkey Cantina at The Westin Westminster is seeking a friendly and professional Host / Hostess to be the welcoming face of our restaurant. The Host / Hostess plays a key role in creating the first impression for our guests, ensuring that every visitor receives a warm greeting and a seamless dining experience from arrival to departure.

Our restaurant is a busy, high-energy environment serving hotel guests, local diners, and event attendees throughout the year. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and able to manage guest flow efficiently while maintaining excellent service standards.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a welcoming first impression of the restaurant.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements to ensure efficient table turnover.
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus when appropriate.
• Communicate with servers and management to maintain smooth service flow.
• Monitor dining room activity and adjust seating plans as needed.
• Answer guest questions about the restaurant, menus, and hotel amenities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.
• Assist with to-go orders or guest inquiries when needed.
• Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return.

Qualifications:

• Previous host, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy restaurant environment.
• Dependable and team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
