Chief Data OfficerThe Chief Data Officer (CDO) is a senior executive responsible for the organization's data strategy, governance, and utilization. This role ensures that data is treated as a strategic asset, driving business value, innovation, and informed decision-making across the enterprise. The CDO oversees data management, analytics, privacy, and data-driven transformation initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesData Strategy & Leadership Develop and execute a comprehensive enterprise data strategy aligned with business objectivesServe as the organization's thought leader on data, analytics, and AIPromote a data-driven culture across all departmentsData Governance & Quality Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, policies, and standardsEnsure data quality, integrity, consistency, and accessibilityOversee data stewardship and lifecycle managementAnalytics & Business Intelligence Lead advanced analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiativesEnable predictive and prescriptive analytics to support strategic decisionsPartner with business units to identify data-driven opportunitiesData Architecture & Infrastructure Collaborate with IT to design scalable data platforms and architecturesOversee data integration, warehousing, and cloud data initiativesEnsure systems support current and future business needsPrivacy, Security & Compliance Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)Work closely with legal, risk, and cybersecurity teamsMitigate risks related to data usage and storageInnovation & Transformation Drive innovation through AI, machine learning, and emerging technologiesIdentify new revenue streams or efficiencies through data monetizationLead digital transformation initiatives involving dataStakeholder Engagement Collaborate with C-suite leaders to align data initiatives with business goalsCommunicate insights and strategy to executive leadership and the boardBuild strong cross-functional partnershipsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business, or related field (Master's or MBA preferred)12+ years of experience in data management, analytics, or related rolesProven leadership experience in a senior data or technology roleStrong understanding of data governance, data architecture, and analyticsExperience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data toolsKnowledge of data privacy and regulatory requirementsDemonstrated ability to lead large-scale transformation initiativesKey Skills & CompetenciesStrategic thinking and executive leadershipStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder managementDeep understanding of data technologies and trendsChange management and organizational transformationBusiness acumen and ability to translate data into valueCompensationThe expected annual salary for this position is between $225,000 and $275,000 at the start of employment. A salary offer is determined on an individualized basis, taking into consideration factors such as an individual's skills and experience.
