Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.As an Equipment Engineer, you will ensure the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment by solving complex technical challenges, owning end-to-end equipment performances, and partnering across manufacturing, process engineering, maintenance, and supplier teams. As part of Micron’s AI-enabled ecosystem, Fab Equipment Engineers use AI-supported data, equipment health insights, and advanced analytics to improve tool performance, reliability, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across semiconductor manufacturing.  RESPONSIBILITIES Own equipment performance and reliability by identifying issues, driving corrective actions, and lifecycle improvement strategies Diagnose technical issues by applying structured problem-solving and enabling rapid tool recovery to prevent emerging issues Drive equipment upgrade/modification projects, implement hardware solutions and partner with vendors to resolve issues Partner and collaborate across functions (Process, Manufacturing, Facilities, Quality, Maintenance teams) to resolve issues Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders Create and maintain SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and drive knowledge sharing Ensure compliance with safety, quality and manufacturing standards MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSShown through education, internships, research, military, manufacturing, or professional experience. Bachelor’s degree or advanced certification in a related technical field OR equivalent technical military experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Technical troubleshooting & problem solving, root cause analysis, equipment/system diagnostics, analyzing and interpreting data SPC principles, Continuous Improvement Experience with mechanical, electrical, automation and manufacturing systems PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience or exposure to semiconductor manufacturing, High-volume manufacturing, Equipment maintenance & reliability, Robotics & automation, Vacuum systems, Industrial control systems, SPC, FDC, MES, Process improvement Good understanding of Agentic AI or willingness to learn Agentic AI to help develop efficient workflow.Preferred disciplines include Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering As a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
