Field Maintenance Technician

Field Maintenance TechnicianJoin a dynamic team as a Field Maintenance Technician, where you will work in various environments to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic problems, and ensure industrial equipment operates efficiently. You will be responsible for testing level controls, filling tank pumps on site, sealing cracks, and strictly following company processes and procedures.ResponsibilitiesConduct testing on level controls and fill tank pumps on site.Seal cracks on industrial equipment while in the field.Perform preventative maintenance on represented products.Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic problems in mechanical rooms.Accurately record customer visits using company-provided devices.Read electrical schematics and system data sheets.Maintain a professional appearance and handle customers positively and professionally.Essential Skills2+ years of experience in customer service or field service work.2+ years of mechanical or industrial knowledge and/or experience.2+ years of general labor experience for physical work.Proficient in PLC troubleshooting and electrical maintenance.Experience in mechanical service/repair industry preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to resolve problems and communicate professionally in high-pressure environments.Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime on short notice.Capability to be on call after normal working hours.Ability to maneuver and operate heavy equipment with training.Professional appearance and excellent customer service skills are essential.Driver's license preferred but not required.Knowledge in electrical, hydraulic, and natural gas preferred but not required.Become part of a long-term opportunity with an established mechanical company. You will specialize in vertical turbine pumps, centrifugal pumps, air-operated double diaphragm pumps, progressing cavity pumps, rotary gear, vane and lobe pumps, and submersible pumps. Work hours are Monday to Friday, starting at 6-7am and ending at 2-3pm. You will be paired with a lead technician daily to understand the various services provided by the company.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Plains, NY.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
