This is a hands-on, execution-focused role built for someone who loves being close to the work, takes pride in getting the details right, and is ready to broaden their accounting footprint in a public company environment.This role sits within a broader accounting leadership team and works closely alongside senior accounting leaders across GL, revenue, and general accounting. It is an ideal next step for a strong practitioner who is ready to grow their leadership presence and take on meaningful scope in a fast moving, high-growth environment. If you are a few years into your accounting career, have built real technical depth, and are looking for the role that accelerates your growth, this is it.What You’ll Do:General Ledger and Month-End CloseOwn or support the month-end close process across the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analyses to ensure completeness and accuracyPrepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and management reports in accordance with US GAAPReconcile and investigate outstanding balances, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies and variancesSupport the year-end close process and assist with the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedulesFinancial ReportingPrepare and review internal financial reports, management reporting packages, and supporting schedules in compliance with US GAAPSupport the preparation of external financial reporting including quarterly and annual reporting documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all accounting inputsAssist in the preparation and review of flux analyses, variance explanations, and balance sheet narratives for senior leadership and external reporting purposesEnsure accuracy and integrity of financial data across systems and reporting outputs, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies before they escalateCollaborate with senior accounting leadership and FP&A on ad hoc financial reporting requests from the CFO and executive teamDevelop working familiarity with SEC reporting requirements and public company financial reporting standards as the business continues to scaleControls, Process Improvement, and AuditSupport the design and implementation of scalable processes and internal controls that strengthen the close and compliance environmentAct as a key contact for external auditors facilitating GL and revenue related testingStay current on changes in accounting standards and flag their impact on the businessTeam Leadership and Cross-Functional PartnershipLead and develop a small team, building habits of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvementBuild strong working relationships with adjacent teams including FP&A, Customer Love, Tech, Wholesale, and FinanceSupport senior accounting leadership with financial results, reporting requests, and ad hoc analysisWhat You’ll Need:5 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience with a solid GL and revenue accounting foundation, including some people leadership experienceCPA required or actively pursuingSolid understanding of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes in a retail, apparel, e-commerce, or CPG environmentWorking knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition in a multi-channel retail environmentHands on experience preparing and reviewing financial reports, management reporting packages, and supporting schedules for internal and external purposesExposure to or experience within a public company reporting environment a strong plus; familiarity with SEC reporting requirements and public company financial reporting standards preferredStrong ERP experience required; NetSuite strongly preferredStrong Excel proficiency including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and advanced functionsClear communicator who can translate accounting detail into actionable insight for the teams around themSelf-motivated and solutions-driven with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentWho You AreYou have strong integrity and hold yourself and your team to a high standardYou are a practitioner at heart — you are not afraid to get into the details and you take pride in getting it rightYou are collaborative by nature and build trust easily across teams and functionsYou are ready to step into broader leadership and see this role as the next chapter in building your careerYou are energized by complexity and motivated by growthCompensation:At Reformation, we believe in transparency and equity when it comes to compensation. For this role, the anticipated base salary range is $130,000 - $160,000 + 10% bonus eligibility, depending on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal compensation equity.This role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a range of factors, including company performance, department goals, and individual contributions. Bonus amounts and eligibility are not guaranteed and are determined at the company’s discretion.Please note that compensation decisions are made thoughtfully and may vary from the listed range to reflect individual circumstances and evolving business needs.
