These applications are used by the teams that manage ABC News, ABC Owned and Operated Television Stations, National Geographic and Marvel. We work alongside engineers across these brands to support major initiatives and share solutions. Come be a part of our team and help us find new ways to interact with users, however and wherever they connect with our brands.Responsibilities:Architect and develop core site functionality using JavaScript (React) and GraphQLPrototype new features and research applicable technologiesImplement best practices to continually increase performance and scalabilitySupport team members by reviewing merge requests to ensure code quality standards and product requirements are metWork with engineering peers, product, design, and project management to refine specs and timelines Partner with other engineering teams to deliver best solutionsMentor and provide feedback to junior engineersCollaborate with story tellers and designers across our brandsBasic Qualifications: Proven understanding of programming and software development practicesComprehensive knowledge of modern web technologies (JavaScript, React, CSS3, GraphQL)Demonstrated ability to research solutions to complex problemsStrong communication skills and attention to detailDriven and self-motivated5+ years relevant industry experienceBS Computer Science or related technical discipline or its equivalentPreferred Qualifications:Experience programming with a best of breed UI stack: React/React Native, Redux, TypeScript, CSS3/SCSS, Jest, React Testing Library, Selenium/Nightwatch/Cypress, SauceLabs, WebPack, Babel, Node/Express, OAuth 2.0/JWTFull stack experience preferredThe hiring range for this position in California is $141,900.00 to $190,300.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Reference: 10160524
