Recognized globally as an innovator in all aspects of vehicle exteriors, Magna provides everything needed, from materials development and design through manufacturing and assembly, to help automakers create sleek, state-of-the-art vehicles across the world.Job ResponsibilitiesTo exhibit teamwork skills and actively participate in team activities in a positive working environment.To demonstrate problem solving skills in a work environment that is striving for continuous improvement.To follow Company policies and display conduct expected of MEHP employees as described in the employee handbook.Adhere to all safety and health objectives, policies and procedures of MEHP to provide for a safe and healthful workplace.Work in a safe manner at all times and report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor in order that the situation can be corrected.Report all accidents and near misses in a timely manner when they occur.Oversee daily inventory movements and scheduling, ensuring accurate and efficient materials management across the facility.Maintain inventory accuracy through rigorous data management, auditing, and process improvements using the QAD ERP system.Serve as the primary interface for customer Materials Planning and Logistics (MPL) concerns, promptly addressing inquiries and resolving issues to ensure superior customer satisfaction.Monitor and achieve departmental KPIs related to inventory management, scheduling accuracy, and customer responsiveness.Develop and implement strategic plans for continuous improvement in MPL processes.Champion the plan for every part process, driving ownership and alignment across teams to ensure that each component is managed with precision.Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to optimize material flow and support operational goals.Analyze process efficiency and identify opportunities for cost reductions, waste elimination, and enhanced service levels.Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements in all materials management activities.Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing materials team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Prepare regular reports on inventory status, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives for senior management review.Understand how the physical manufacturing processes link to the digital processes, enabling seamless integration and data fidelity throughout operations.Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) processes, leveraging technology to drive real-time visibility, traceability, and operational excellence.Awareness, Unity, EmpowermentAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
