Project Engineer

Project EngineerHill International is seeking a Project Engineer for transportation/infrastructure/municipal project(s) in Northern Ohio. This position is open to collect resumes in anticipation of upcoming project needs.ResponsibilitiesOversee and maintain document control system during construction for correspondence, shop drawings, catalog cuts, submittals, RFIs, etc.Review and evaluate submissions and RFIs for cost impactsCoordinate and assist in regular progress meetings and special meetings as requiredRecord, document and issue meeting minutesAssist in the coordination and preparation of agendasReview cost estimates and coordinate value engineering submissionsProvide documentation and research for cost negotiationsReview design or construction change requestsReview contractor submission with emphasis upon maintaining the established construction requirements of the client with respect to the constraints imposed by the contract, such as constructability, physical location and scope of work operations, impact to traffic and roadway conditions, availability of material required and environmental concernsCoordinate with our client for determination, evaluation and assistance in resolution of community issuesAssist with change order management, issue resolution, project controls, and reporting; coordinate with on-site Project Managers and Project Directors to ensure client needs are metProvide real-time feedback on construction progress vs projected schedulesSite observations/inspections of the work in the field, including assembling daily reports.QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management3-5 years of experience on large-scale construction projects preferredODOT prequalification or ability to quickly become prequalified preferredGeneral Contractor experience a plusMust be available to work full time onsite in northern OhioDepending upon your employment status, Hill's comprehensive benefits may include, Medical, Dental, Vision, Employer Paid Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurances, Business Travel Accident Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Flexible Spending Account, Health Savings Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, Commuter Benefits, Legal Assistance, Identity Theft Protection, Pet Insurance, Auto & Home Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, Accident Insurance, Hospital Indemnity Insurance, Voluntary Life & Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance.
