Microsoft Help Desk Specialist Our client, a government agency specializing in information technology services, is seeking a Microsoft Help Desk Specialist to join their IT support department. Location Arlington, Virginia Pay Range Fair Market Rate Responsibilities Manage end‑user support for Microsoft‑based applications and systems, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Develop and refine standard operating procedures for ticketing and support workflows. Analyze performance metrics to identify areas for operational improvements. Serve as a Tier 1 and 2 support agent, escalating complex issues to program leadership as needed. Maintain and update knowledge articles within the team’s Wiki to ensure accurate and current support information. Requirements Strong federal background with experience supporting government or military IT systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 1‑2 years of experience supporting software applications, preferably Microsoft‑based. Experience with Help Desk operations and troubleshooting Microsoft applications. Ability to work up to 100% onsite in the National Capital Region with access to NIPR and SIPR networks.
