POSITION - SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER - MUNICIPAL, WASTEWATER AND INDUSTRIAL WATER PROJECTS

Role description: Our Arcadis Structural Team is seeking to add an experienced Senior Structural Engineer (PE) with strong municipal/wastewater/industrial water project management expertise to their team. This is a critical role, and the ideal candidate will function as a subject matter expert, providing technical leadership, guiding project teams, and collaborating directly with clients. In addition, the successful candidate will contribute to team growth by developing a client base and strengthening our presence in the region. The Arcadis structural team, a nationally recognized technical team, will provide support, enabling you to leverage your structural design and construction engineering expertise to drive successful project execution from inception to completion. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, which may include travel for project and client visits within the United States. Come Join Arcadis! Role accountabilities: Organize and conduct structural-related engineering investigations, calculations, and planning work that has a well-defined scope Lead the development of calculations, plans, specifications, requests for proposals, and other contract documents Work directly with a variety of engineering disciplines, office/project staff, client and subcontractors, throughout the project life cycle, and have clear and concise, oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to coordinate meetings, conduct effective client presentations and prepare written reports Exercise judgment on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives Manage the production of engineering and construction drawings, specifications, bid packages, and cost estimates for projects Will function as an Engineer of Record, Task Manager, or Project Engineer on projects to manage related budgets and schedules, lead deliverables, and manage plans, permit checklists, and scopes of work, and will facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of projects Mentor entry-level and junior structural engineering staff Some travel may be required for project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, general planning, or overseeing construction activities, depending on project staffing needs Qualifications & Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering experience, including supervision of elements related to large, complex municipal and industrial water and wastewater projects Professional Engineer (PE) License Deep working history of leading and mentoring internal teams, with a strong ability to develop effective positive relationships with our external stakeholders Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering Functional knowledge and experience with AutoCAD/REVIT software. Strong structural analysis and design skills (including structural software such as Staad Pro, Risa, etc.) Excellent working knowledge of all building codes and standards, such as IBC, ACI, AISC, etc. Why Arcadis? Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
