Outside Sales Representative

Air Products has an immediate opening for an Outside Sales Representative in the Cincinnati, OH area, with consideration also given to candidates in Dayton, OH. This outside B2B sales role is responsible for growing business by selling microbulk and small bulk cryogenic industrial gases, including nitrogen, oxygen, and argon, to customers across a variety of industries such as healthcare, life sciences, laboratories, food packaging, metals fabrication, and general manufacturing.

Key responsibilities include acquiring new customers, achieving or exceeding revenue and profit goals, and ensuring the successful and timely onboarding of new accounts while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Acquire customers through proactive outreach and relationship-building strategies.
• Meet or exceed assigned revenue and profit targets consistently.
• Initiate customer accounts accurately and promptly, ensuring all required details are collected.
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and account setup processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently with excellent communication skills to make sales calls in a fast-paced environment
• Confident conducting face-to-face cold calls with businesses within the local territory on a daily basis
• Monitor and report on sales performance metrics and progress toward goals.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities.
• Manage pipeline of 50+ prospects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1+ year of sales experience preferred
• Must maintain a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to access and safely operate a reliable personal vehicle on an ongoing basis.
• Strong influencing, persuading, negotiating, and closing skills
• Competence in building and managing sales pipeline, from top-of-funnel to contract execution
• Highly competitive with strong critical thinking skills and disciplined work habits.
• Ability to overcome objections and retain a positive attitude
