Responsibilities Direct the flow of patients. Monitor the planning, delivery and outcomes of care for the area patient population. Collaborate with other health team members to provide coordinated, safe, and compassionate care for patients. Function as an expert clinical practitioner and role model for staff according to unit needs. Work closely with cardiologists in the performance of invasive procedures and patient outcomes. Support the cardiologists, manager, nurse coordinator and unit staff in the performance of invasive procedures. Assist during procedures to ensure fast and efficient delivery of care to patients. Delegate and adjust care for patient populations based on acuity and available staff. Assist in the performance of invasive procedures such as scrubbing, equipment utilization and hemodynamic computation. Document patient status, tests performed and follow-up plans. Participate in the operation of therapeutic and interventional equipment and in quality improvement activities. Participate in on-call schedule with dependability and schedule flexibility. Maintain own personal professional growth and development. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred. Current RN license in Illinois required. Current CPR certification; ACLS certification required for critical care and ER. Caring attitude, professional appearance, and willingness to increase knowledge and mentor others. Knowledge of growth and development needs of staff. Ability to relate well to professional and non-professional staff. High accuracy in work duties. Team-oriented with the ability to delegate appropriately.
