Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Medical Surgical (MS) Nurse, located at the healthcare provider's unit, is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role involves providing direct clinical care to diverse patient populations, including occasional pediatric surgical patients, while adhering to established policies and procedures. Job Details Position Description: Medical Surgical (MS) Nurse responsible for comprehensive patient care on the medical surgical floor within a healthcare facility. The assignment includes working rotating shifts, every other weekend, and every other holiday, with schedule details of 12-hour variable shifts totaling 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: WI Registered Nurse (RN) license, American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Associate Degree or Certificate, minimum of 2 years of med-surg experience (consideration given to those with at least 1.5 years), charting experience in Electronic Patient Information Charting (EPIC), and must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing. Schedule: 12-hour variable shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with rotating schedule including every other weekend and holiday. Additional Information: Float rotation may be required to similar units including Howard Young, Tomahawk, and Eagle River. Float can be scheduled in advance if necessary. During flu season, travelers declining vaccination must wear a mask at all times as per policy.
