Overview of Responsibilities: Delivers the desired member experience by accurately completing teller transactions, identifying member needs, and cross selling beneficial products and services to deepen member relationships.
- Member Service: Exceeds member service expectations and builds trusting relationships with members, showing a sincere interest in the member and their financial success. Actively engages with the branch team to ensure members are served efficiently and promptly.
- Teller Transactions: Follows MSGCU’s service standards to accurately complete teller transactions and balance drawer and checks at end of day. Teller transactions include, but are not limited to: cashing checks, processing deposits and withdrawals, making member payments, processing certificate of deposit transactions, and member account maintenance. Adheres to cash controls including cash drawer limits, buy/sell procedures, dual control, and other applicable procedures.
- Cross-Selling: Generates member referrals by using a consultative approach and asking high impact questions to identify and meet member perceived and unperceived needs. Listens for member cues and uses in depth knowledge of MSGCU’s products and services to cross sell and offer solutions for member needs by focusing on the benefits and value to the member. Uses Creating Member Loyalty skills to effectively handle member complaints and resolve issues by working with members to identify mutually beneficial solutions.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED; and
- 6 months of experience as a teller in a financial institution or as retail sales representative/cashier.
Working Conditions:
- Office and branch location environment with little discomfort from noise, extreme temperature, dust, or other factors.
- Occasionally required to travel throughout MSGCU’s service area in order to support other branches as business needs require.
- Exposed to potentially hazardous condition, such as robbery. Receives detailed instructions and procedures to be followed on an annual basis to minimize risk.
- This work involves sitting most of the time with brief periods of walking or standing and may occasionally require lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds. Compensation and Benefits:

- Base hourly pay begins at $16.40/hourly

- If you are at least 21 years old, you will receive a 3% contribution from MSGCU, and a 100% match for the next 7% you contribute to your 401(k)
- You will enjoy 12 paid holidays and up to 120 hours of PTO your first year of service (pro-rated based on start date)

Qualifications:
Preferably a 4-year BS in Marketing/Sales, Business. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook PowerPoint, Excel, and the Internet. Knowledge Residential & Commercial Roofing, Residential Windows, Entry Doors & Exterior Siding. Must possess the entrepreneurial spirit; be self-motivated, and be enthusiastic about our business. Must have excellent customer service skills, management skills, and attitude. Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent organizational and time management skills. Must be analytical and able to solve problems. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be ethical and honest. Must have experience in the building material distribution industry, particularly selling residential and commercial roofing products, with demonstrated success in those products to a local contractor base. Must be dependable and have a current state-issued driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Must be legally entitled to work in the United States. Must be able to pass a company-required drug test. Must be able to read, speak, and write the English language to communicate with vendors, customers, and other branch employees.
