RN Oncology

A premier healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Benign Hematology Ambulatory Office Practice in New York City. This position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative Nurse-Physician care model, providing comprehensive outpatient care and support to hematology patients throughout their treatment journey.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Flexible scheduling between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support within a Nurse-Physician ambulatory care practice.
• Manage and coordinate care for patients receiving hematology services in an outpatient setting.
• Perform patient assessments, monitor symptoms, and coordinate appropriate interventions.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, symptom management, and ongoing care needs.
• Assist with care coordination across the healthcare continuum to ensure seamless patient experiences.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing professional development focused on ambulatory nursing practice.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.

Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License required.
• BSN required.
• Minimum of 1.5 years of RN experience required.
• Medical Oncology experience preferred.
• Ambulatory/Outpatient nursing experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, patient education, and care coordination skills.
