Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Prior experience working with children or youth, especially in educational or childcare settings
• Ability to support students with diverse learning needs, including those with individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, teachers, and families
• Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in helping every student succeed
• High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require additional coursework or certifications)

Responsibilities & Key Duties:

• Assist classroom teachers by implementing individualized programs and instructional strategies
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to help students master classroom lessons and social skills
• Foster a safe, welcoming atmosphere and model appropriate behaviors for all students
• Assist with classroom organization, preparing materials, and monitoring student activities
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure students’ educational needs are met
• Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, meals, and transitions as needed
• Encourage students to participate actively, build their confidence, and develop independence
