Statistical Science Director Infectious Disease

AstraZeneca seeks a Statistical Science Director to lead clinical statistics strategy for infectious disease programs. This role involves directing statistical design across development plans, regulatory submissions, and health technology assessments while mentoring staff and representing the company to regulatory bodies and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead statistical design and strategy for product development plans, regulatory strategy, and health technology assessments
Ensure quality and content of study designs, documents, and regulatory submissions
Quantify and communicate benefit, risk, value, and uncertainty of emerging product profiles
Mentor and support technical education of statistical staff across projects
Represent AstraZeneca in external forums including regulatory agencies, advisory boards, and conferences

Requirements

MSc or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics with substantial statistical component, or equivalent
Minimum 5 years clinical trial experience with proven independent leadership
Nationally recognized technical expertise and statistical leadership credentials
Ability to oversee and align multiple concurrent studies with cross-functional support
Experience with regulatory interactions and submission processes
Knowledge of novel statistical approaches and methodology implementation
