Apex Systems is hiring a Medical Scheduler for a large Healthcare client.

Location: West (Mid City) Los Angeles, California (100% On-site)

Role Overview

An established healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated Medical Scheduler to support clinic operations. The successful candidate will manage provider schedules and monthly appointment calendars to facilitate patient access to clinicians. This position requires precise data entry, excellent customer service, and the ability to coordinate schedules in a fast-paced environment.

The scheduled shift is 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM with alternating weekend coverage on Saturdays and Sundays.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the clinical database system to enter and maintain provider master appointment schedules.
• Process monthly calendars, daily schedules, and modification requests efficiently and accurately.
• Review outgoing appointment schedules and distribute them to designated clinical departments in a timely manner.
• Assist reception staff with the entry of patient encounter information as needed.
• Provide instruction to clinical staff regarding proper scheduling techniques and document utilization.
• Utilize office equipment including computers, printers, and scanners to complete daily administrative tasks.
• Participate in service excellence training to maintain high service standards for patients and staff.

Required Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) equivalent is required.

Experience: One to two years of experience in a call center environment is required, along with experience performing clerical functions and operating a scheduling database.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer systems and office software is required. Experience with Epic systems is preferred but not required.
