HIRING: Director of Finance & Accounting | Bergen County, NJ

Base Salary: $180K–$200K + $30K–$40K Bonus

I’m seeking an experienced Director of Finance & Accounting to join an international organization and serve as a key strategic partner to US leadership. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on finance leader who can strengthen accounting operations, drive process improvements, and help support continued business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the Managing Director and US leadership on financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial decision-making.
• Lead accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close, cash flow forecasting, and internal controls.
• Oversee inventory valuation, cost accounting, and margin analysis , including refurbished equipment, high-value parts, and remanufacturing operations.
• Manage multi-state tax and regulatory compliance, working with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
• Lead accounting systems improvements and automation across QuickBooks and SAP .
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing Finance & Accounting team.
• Collaborate with European parent-company leadership, aligning US operations with global reporting requirements.

✅ What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including senior-level leadership.
• Strong expertise in inventory accounting, costing, valuation, and margin analysis within manufacturing, equipment, distribution, or a related product-based environment.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and SAP , including system enhancements and process automation.
• Knowledge of multi-state tax compliance and corporate reporting requirements.
• A collaborative, business-minded leader who enjoys working directly with operational teams.
• CPA preferred ; international company experience and knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS are a plus.
