Food Service Manager

Valdosta, GA Overview The Food Service Manager at Valdosta State Prison oversees dining operations, ensuring preparation and service meet customer needs and tastes. The role involves developing and implementing dining solutions while managing a team of food service staff. Job Responsibilities Use Aramark's coaching model to engage, develop, and recognize team members. Plan and lead daily team briefings and maintain safety and sanitation standards. Identify client needs and communicate operational progress. Maintain P&L statements and deliver financial targets. Adopt Aramark processes, analyze performance metrics, and educate teams to improve margins. Facilitate efficient operations, cost controls, and profit management. Ensure food and labor initiatives meet operational excellence standards. Supervise production, quality, and control of the front‑of‑house dining operation. Maintain compliance with safety, health, wage, and hour regulations. Additional Responsibilities Lead the front of the house of the dining operation in conjunction with the Food Service Director. Plan, direct, and coordinate food service activities to deliver a finished product to the customer. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience, including 1 year in a management role. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to maintain effective client relations and work with other departments.
