Epic Senior Analyst, Ambulatory/Bones

The University of Miami Health System, "UHealth", IT Department has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Epic Senior Analyst, Ambulatory/Bones. The Epic Senior Analyst initiates the implementation, builds, and modifies complex applications, and collaborates with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application's configuration, function, and access. The incumbent supports junior staff members in day-to-day operations and resolving application issues.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application's configuration, function, and access.
• Serving as a primary support contact for application end-users.
• Initiating the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the application.
• Initiating all phases of testing and the documentation of workflow design.
• Performing the analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validating the impacts to the workflow.
• Identifying issues and guiding the work to resolve them.
• Supporting junior staff members in the evaluation and resolution of service tickets, identification and implementation of application changes, retrieval of requested data, and execution of day-to-day operations.
• Collaborating with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies.
• Working with stakeholders, the business community, and end users to ensure the application meets UHealth's business/clinical needs.
• Participating in on-call rotations and support and attending and participating in applicable committees.
• Maintaining regular communication with team members, including participating in weekly project team meetings.
• Reviewing the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.
• Remaining knowledgeable about UHealth's policies, procedures, and business operations.
• Adhering to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguarding University assets.

Department Specific Functions: As an Epic Senior Analyst, Ambulatory/Bones, you will report to the Senior Manager and will be responsible for:

• Providing oversight and leadership to Associate Epic Analysts and Epic Analysts on the team
• Initiating the implementation, build, and modification of the application
• Collaborating with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application's configuration, function, and access
• Supporting junior staff members in day-to-day operations and resolving application issues

Core qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• EpicCare Ambulatory, Kaleidoscope, and Bones Certifications required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in healthcare or healthcare-related organization
• Previous operational, project management, and organizational skills
• Familiarity with physician practices' workflows, hospital outpatient departments and patient experiences preferred
• Familiarity with ophthalmology physician practices' workflows preferred
• Understanding of a wide array of integration points, including scheduling, lab, radiology, billing, imaging, and inpatient clinical preferred
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
• Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
• Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
• Ability to lead, motivate, develop and train others.
