Horizontal Mill Machinist

We're seeking a skilled Horizontal Boring Mill Machinist who takes pride in accuracy, problem‑solving, and producing high‑quality work. Responsibilities Review job packets and setup instructions for each project Set up jobs using clamps, shims, wedges, and other tooling to secure workpieces Identify, locate, and load materials using equipment such as cranes and fork trucks Load and verify CNC programs through test runs or in‑process checks Write basic programs and edit CAM programs Monitor machining operations to ensure correct speeds, feeds, and tolerances Improve processes by documenting and implementing more efficient methods (programming, tooling, positioning, etc.) Deburr, clean, and finish completed parts Unload finished products and move them to the next work center Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Report machine or consumable issues to management Skills & Qualifications Ability to read blueprints/drawings Proficient with measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, tape measures, etc.) Strong math skills — algebra, geometry, measurements High attention to detail and commitment to safety Mechanical aptitude 1 year of machining experience or trade school preferred (not required) Familiarity with CNC programming and CAM edits (preferred) Benefits Competitive wages 100% Paid Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance HSA Safe Harbor 401(k) with 3% contribution Life Insurance Paid Vacation Optional supplemental insurance Family‑owned and operated environment Schedule Monday–Friday, daylight shift Overtime available as needed Optional weekend work #J-18808-Ljbffr Wilson Workforce Solutions, LLC
