Work Environment
Our Lakewood office is designed to provide a welcoming and therapeutic atmosphere for both our staff and patients. As an onsite facility, the Outpatient Office is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation tools, private treatment rooms, and spacious facilities conducive to various therapeutic exercises. You'll be working closely with a collaborative team of professionals, including physical therapy assistants and administrative staff, who are all dedicated to enhancing patient care while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess clients’ levels of function, utilizing diagnostic tools and assessment techniques to develop customized treatment plans that aim to enhance recovery and improve functional capabilities.
- Direct and oversee physical therapy assistants to ensure the effective implementation of treatment plans and adherence to best practices in patient care.
- Administer hands-on therapeutic exercises, including manual therapy techniques, while also instructing and motivating clients in performance of therapeutic exercises designed for rehabilitation.
- Evaluate patient environments and recommend modifications that can enhance independence and safety in home settings, implementing necessary changes to support rehabilitation.
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes meticulously, communicating with the healthcare team to adjust plans as necessary for optimal patient recovery.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our clients encompass all age groups, ranging from active young adults to seniors needing specialized care. Understanding the unique needs of each patient is crucial to your approach as you develop individualized care plans that consider their lifestyle, goals, and challenges.
Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), in good standing with the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
- A Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy is required, although a Master’s degree or a Doctorate (DPT) from an accredited program is preferred.
- At least two (2) years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy, with a strong focus on outpatient care.
- Possession of a current CPR certification to ensure the safety and well-being of patients during treatment.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, including elderly patients and individuals with complex orthopedic conditions.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document patient care and track treatment progress efficiently.
- Background in therapeutic exercise prescription and manual therapy techniques is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation package for this role ranges from USD 110,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
