Direct Support Professional

Overview We are seeking an active, patient, and engaging Direct Support Professional to work one-on-one with a 29-year-old man. This role blends daily physical exercise, community outings, and skill-building. The goal is to help him stay active, explore community activities, and prepare for future paid employment. Location: New Ipswich, NH Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour Schedule: 25 hours per week Responsibilities Active Community Outings: Accompany him on trips to the library, local gym, museums, and occasional local field trips. Recreation & Sports: Participate in walking, biking, kayaking, and quarterly NESHA or other sporting activities. Daily Routines: Support daily exercise routines, assist during a weekly volunteer cleaning job, and packing lunches. Behavioral Support: Implement his established safety plan. Identify anxiety triggers (heat, hunger, thirst, noise) and utilize tools like noise-canceling headphones. Medication Administration: Safely administer scheduled medications (Medication and Safety Care Training required). Certification provided by MDS. Qualifications A sound ethical foundation, dedication, creativity, commitment to building a relationship, sense of humor, and ability to work in a team environment. Additional Information Schedule is flexible, including weekday and/or weekend hours.
