Job Description
Exciting ICU & Med Surg Nursing Opportunity!

Job Description:
- Shift: Days
- Schedule: 7 AM start, 3x12s, 36 hours/week, holiday rotation
- No call required; every 3rd weekend commitment
- Location: Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

Unit Information:
- ICU:
- Beds: 5 ICU, 3 stepdown
- Patient ratio: 1:2, sometimes 1:3 depending on overflow
- Patient types: vent, bipap, airvo, bariatric surgery, general surgery
- Drips: propofol, leveophed, diltiazem, insulin, heparin
- Med Surg Unit:
- Bed size: 23
- Patient ratio: 1:5
- Patient types: bariatric surgery, ortho, general med surg
- Drips: heparin

Requirements:
- 24 months of recent/current ICU experience (required)
- Med Surg experience strongly encouraged (may float between ICU, stepdown, and Med Surg units)
- Comfort caring for 2-5 patients
- Travel experience within previous 24 months (required)
- EPIC experience (required)
- Active PALS TNCC certificates (required)
- NIHSS certificate (preferred, can obtain during onboarding)
- Tele reads/measures experience (required)

Profile Requirements:
- Work history/resume must document 24 months of current ICU/Intensive Care experience (required)
- Skills checklist must be specific to ICU / Intensive Care (required)
- Active Iowa/IA license or compact/Multistate at submission (required)
- Professional reference from a charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO performance evaluation/reference within 24 months (preferred)
- Driver's license (required)
- Certifications:
- ACLS (AHA) (required)
- BLS (AHA) (required)
- PALS (AHA) (required)
- TNCC / Trauma Nursing Core Competency (required)
- NIHSS certificate (preferred, can obtain during onboarding)
