Each day, you will assist clients in navigating rental assistance programs like Section 8 and ensure they understand their options for affordable housing. Your role will involve conducting assessments and developing personalized case management plans that address individual needs and circumstances. You'll spend time on the phone and in virtual meetings, providing guidance and support to clients while also documenting their progress meticulously.Daily tasks may include outreach to community partners and housing providers to foster collaborative relationships, ensuring all resources are available for your clients. You will participate in team meetings to discuss best practices and strategies for tackling housing challenges. Ultimately, you will be dedicated to empowering clients with the resources needed to secure stable housing while demonstrating a strong commitment to excellence and innovation. Are you the Housing Stability Specialist we're looking for? To be successful as a Housing Stability Specialist at EDEN, candidates should possess a combination of interpersonal and technical skills tailored for the nonprofit sector. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with three years of experience in homeless and housing services, while a bachelor's degree is preferred to enhance your understanding of the complexities within affordable housing. Proficiency in software tools for case management and client tracking is essential, as it will support your ability to deliver efficient and effective rental assistance services.A valid Ohio driver's license with four points or less, alongside proof of insurance, is necessary for transportation to meet with clients and community partners. A reliable personal vehicle is also a requirement for your daily tasks.
