Staffmark is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing facility in Greeneville, TN.

This position is ideal for someone with maintenance experience, MIG welding skills, and a hands-on mechanical background who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, supporting production operations, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Facility & Maintenance Manager and is responsible for performing maintenance, machining, welding, and preventative maintenance tasks throughout the facility. This role plays a critical part in keeping production equipment operational and ensuring the plant runs efficiently.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding repairs and fabrication to support maintenance needs.
• Repair, maintain, and modify weld fixtures.
• Operate tool room machinery and equipment safely and effectively.
• Build prototype products and test units as needed.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks.
• Conduct monthly fire extinguisher inspections and housekeeping audits.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Support internal auditing activities as assigned.
• Execute preventative maintenance schedules and complete all required PM documentation.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment throughout the production facility.
• Assist production departments with maintenance-related issues.
• Follow all company quality, environmental, and safety policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

✅ Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

✅ MIG welding experience required

✅ Basic tool room and machining skills preferred

✅ Ability to learn and work in all areas of production

✅ Ability to obtain forklift certification

✅ Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

✅ Flexible schedule and willingness to work overtime when needed

✅ Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed primarily within a manufacturing facility.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, and moving throughout the plant.
• Regular lifting, pulling, and moving of materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
