Safety Coordinator

C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc., the leading asphalt manufacturer, and road builder in the state of Georgia has an immediate opening for a Field Safety Representative. About the Role This position will provide safety site support visits all divisions within the company. The Safety Representative will be expected to spend approximately 85% of their time in the field. This position will be responsible for a wide range of duties related to the safety of our employees and the traveling public in the State of Georgia. Responsibilities Basic computer skills No fear of public speaking Ability to conduct training to large groups Confidence in making decisions Able to travel within the state (possible overnight) Provide Site Support visits all divisions including night work Approachable personality and ability to build working relationships with fellow employees and supervision General understanding of road construction including bridge, grading, and asphalt construction. Have valid driver’s license Time Management Skills Qualifications A commitment to safety and its value. The drive to produce quality work every time. The ability to work nights and weekends if needed.
