Work Environment
This role operates in a production and inspection environment that involves working with purchased parts, subassemblies, and finished products. Work is supported by standard office software, including Microsoft Excel for data entry and Microsoft Word for documentation. The position involves following written procedures, adhering to established SOPs, and handling controlled documents and test records in an organized manner. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.

Job Description

The position also assists with equipment calibration activities and contributes to the continuous improvement of inspection procedures and standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies, and finished products according to clearly defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical, and electrical measurement methods.
- Rework or reject subassemblies or finished products when they do not meet established quality standards.
- Conduct process and system audits using written procedures as audit standards and document audit findings accurately.
- Accurately document the results of inspections and tests in the appropriate logs, forms, or electronic systems.
- Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely, organized, and accurate manner.
- Coordinate the calibration of all test equipment and fixtures to ensure measurement accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to verify proper operation and calibration status.
- Participate in the creation, review, and revision of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to the inspection function.
- Support quality assurance and quality control activities by providing clear documentation and communicating nonconformances.
- Use tools such as micrometers and calipers to perform precise measurements during inspections.
- Enter and update inspection and quality data in Microsoft Excel and related systems as required.
- 2+ years of quality control experience in receiving inspection preferred, with hands-on exposure to inspection processes and procedures.
- Practical experience in quality inspection and quality control, including inspection of parts, subassemblies, or finished products.
- Ability to perform and document inspections and audits using written procedures and defined quality criteria.
- Working knowledge of measurement instruments, including micrometers and calipers.
- Proficiency in documentation and recordkeeping related to inspections, testing, and quality activities.
- General proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry and analysis and Microsoft Word for documentation.
- Good English written and verbal communication skills to document findings and collaborate with team members.
- Strong arithmetic skills to perform accurate measurements, calculations, and data checks.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and work with mechanical components and assemblies.
- ISO 2016 Internal Auditor certification preferred or experience with ISO-based audit processes.
- Experience supporting quality assurance and quality control programs, including audits and corrective actions.
- Experience in inventory control or receiving inspection environments is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Excel data entry for recording inspection results and quality metrics.
- Ability to contribute to the development and revision of SOPs and other quality documentation.
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspections, audits, and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a structured quality-focused environment.
