TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Peds CVICU RN in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28203!

Job Title: RN - Pediatric CVICU Profession: RN Specialty: Pediatric CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2 years Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience in a similar facility License: BLS, PALS, NIHSS Certifications: Required certifications as stated Must-Have: Experience with fresh open heart post-operative patients, transplant experience, and experience with specific devices Description: RN needed for Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The facility has 247 licensed beds and is a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center. It serves as a teaching hospital and is a certified chest pain and stroke center. The unit has a high acuity patient population, ages 0-18 years old. Patient diagnoses include congenital heart differences, post-surgical management, and patients requiring advanced devices. Typical patient ratios vary based on acuity, with 1:1, 1:2, or 2:1 ratios. There are no CNAs, but there is 1 health care tech per day to support nursing needs. All nurses will float to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as discussed during the interview. Experience with specific medical devices such as ECMO, Impella, and Aquadex is required. Familiarity with electronic medical records and IV pumps is essential. There is a culture of teamwork, trust, and accountability in the unit. Holidays and weekend rotations will be expected as part of the schedule. RTO requests will require manager approval. Shifts are scheduled every 6 weeks with morning and overnight availability.
