Job Description
- Greets all patients and guests in initiating check-in process.
- Obtains and verifies accurate patient identification & demographic data to confirm or update the patient's record while maintaining confidentiality of information.
- Is responsible for completing eligibility of insurances presented and possibly offering some financial counseling, as well as conducting point of service collections.
- Is responsible for completing registration for all admission processes while providing customer service in person and via phone.
- Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, office/clinic staff and the medical staff; participates in performance improvement activities.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- OB experience preferred
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to multi-task while being detail-oriented.
- Experience with billing and insurance preferred.
- Ability to type at least 40 wpm.
