Closer to a recurring valuation and reporting role than a modelling-heavy position—the ad emphasises standard pension deliverables and filing timelines rather than new model development.
Defined benefit retirement actuarial analyst role in Glastonbury, Connecticut, supporting pension valuations, funding notices, regulatory filings, benefit calculations, and ASC 715 reporting. You will manage several client projects, communicate with clients and actuaries, and complete a 12–18 month training period. The role targets candidates with 1–3 years of pension actuarial experience and pays $60,000–$80,000 plus potential incentives.
Requirements
Strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science or Finance
- 1-3 years of post-education pension actuarial experience
- Functional in MS Office (Word, Excel)
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and juggle priorities
- Flexibility to work overtime to meet client demands
- Team oriented
