Role Description The Senior Attorney will serve as a key legal advisor supporting ABS Management’s commercial real estate operations in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This full-time, on-site role involves providing comprehensive legal guidance on acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, leasing, financing, and property management activities. The Senior Attorney will draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and transaction documents, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan documents, and vendor contracts. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting laws and regulations relevant to commercial real estate, advising on labor and employment matters impacting the organization, managing legal risk, and coordinating with external counsel when needed. The individual in this role will collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to support strategic decisions, ensure regulatory compliance, and protect the company’s interests in negotiations and dispute resolution. Qualifications Strong foundation in Law, with experience in commercial real estate and corporate transactions. Specialized knowledge in Labor and Employment Law, including advising on workforce policies, compliance, and risk mitigation. Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to business leaders on complex matters. Excellent Research skills to analyze statutes, regulations, case law, and industry practices. Advanced Negotiation skills for leases, contracts, financing arrangements, and dispute resolution. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar admission in New York, or eligibility to register as in-house counsel. Several years of progressive legal experience, preferably within commercial real estate, property management, or related sectors. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate legal concepts into business-oriented guidance. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with executives and cross-functional teams, exercising sound judgment and discretion. Experience managing outside counsel, handling multiple matters simultaneously, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
