Safety Manager

Position Summary

The Safety Manager is responsible for leading environmental, health, and safety programs that ensure regulatory compliance, minimize risk, and promote a strong culture of safety across operations. This role partners with leadership and employees to maintain a safe, compliant, and productive workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state regulations.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Manage environmental compliance, waste handling, and reporting requirements.
• Track safety metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and response programs.
• Promote employee engagement and safety awareness throughout the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, industrial, recycling, or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and workplace safety regulations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional certifications (ASP, CSP, CHMM) are a plus.
