Fixed Asset Accountant Opportunity

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced Fixed Asset Accountant to join their client's dedicated team in Nevada. This role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain the fixed asset ledger and related accounting records.
• Record asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and retirements.
• Monitor and track capital expenditures (CapEx) and construction-in-progress (CIP) projects.
• Calculate and record monthly depreciation and amortization entries.
• Prepare fixed asset account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Review and analyze asset activity to ensure proper classification and capitalization.
• Coordinate and perform periodic fixed asset inventories and physical asset verifications.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting related to capital expenditures.
• Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Prepare reports related to fixed assets, depreciation, and capital spending.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting experience; fixed asset accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and fixed asset accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Sage, or similar.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with fixed asset management software.
• Knowledge of CIP accounting and capital project accounting.
• Experience supporting audits and financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.

Work Hours

Monday - Friday, 1st Shift

Compensation

Salary range is $28.85 - $31.25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
