Maintenance Manager

We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to join a leading Company located in the Hawthorne, NJ surrounding area.

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000

The Maintenance Manager position plays a pivotal role in achieving zero downtime and fostering a culture of excellence, leading a dedicated crew, optimizing operations, and driving reliability in a fast-paced environment committed to quality and safety.

Responsibilities :

• Lead and mentor a team of 5-10 technicians, overseeing daily operations, scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to build a high-performing unit.
• Develop and implement robust preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and minimize disruptions.
• Manage the maintenance budget effectively, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency gains.
• Create and enforce standardized procedures, including SOPs, lockout/tagout protocols, and spare parts inventory management.
• Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures, spearhead corrective actions, and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate closely with operations, engineering, and cross-functional teams on capital projects, equipment installations, and process improvements.
• Ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards, while promoting a proactive safety-first mindset.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, reduce waste, and support overall plant goals.

Basic Hiring Criteria :

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, ideally in manufacturing, food/beverage, or heavy industry.
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role, with proven ability to motivate and develop teams.

Desired Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Expertise with PLCs, CMMS systems (e.g., Maximo, SAP), and reliability methodologies like FMEA and TPM.
• Demonstrated success in reducing unplanned downtime and controlling maintenance costs through data-driven strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort in using metrics to inform decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate and influence across departments.
• Professional certifications such as CMRP, CRL, or Six Sigma Green Belt.
• Experience with automated systems, including robotics, conveyors, and HVAC.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
