Senior Project Manager - Land Development

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex land development projects from initial feasibility through to construction and completion. This role will suit a commercially minded professional with strong technical knowledge, sound judgement and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams across residential, commercial or mixed-use developments. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule and in line with approved budgets, quality standards and statutory requirements.


Key responsibilities will include managing project scopes, programmes, budgets, procurement strategies, risk registers and reporting processes. You will appoint and oversee consultants, contractors and specialist advisers, ensuring that all parties meet agreed deliverables and performance expectations. The role will involve coordinating planning applications, development approvals, engineering design, infrastructure delivery, construction activities and project handover. You will also monitor project progress, identify potential issues early, implement effective mitigation strategies and provide clear updates to senior stakeholders. Building positive relationships with authorities, landowners, consultants, contractors and internal teams will be essential to achieving successful outcomes.


Applicants should have substantial experience managing land development or major property projects, with a strong understanding of planning, civil engineering, development approvals, contracts, construction processes and financial controls. Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management, property, construction, engineering, planning or a related discipline are desirable. You will be highly organised, commercially aware and confident managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels are essential. Experience leading projects through the full development lifecycle, together with a proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management, will be highly regarded.
