Job Description Senior Consultant - Manufacturing Warehouse & Dock Management Analyst Infosys Consulting, the management and technology consulting unit of Infosys Ltd, is seeking motivated Manufacturing Industry Consultants as part of our team of front-runners in Manufacturing Industry consulting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Manufacturing sector with a strong understanding of one or more of the following industries: Automotive, Aerospace, Defense and Industrial Products. Successful candidates will understand manufacturing, distribution and supply chain for discrete and continuous manufacturing processes, including enabling technologies.About the RoleThe Senior Consultant role within the Manufacturing consulting practice of Infosys focuses on partnering with business and technology stakeholders of our clients to help craft and execute their strategy. Consultants provide support to Principal Consultants and Infosys teams in different stages of projects including Strategy, Business Case definition, Requirements, Business Process Design/Re-engineering, Business Operations and Business Architecture, that enables our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.Responsibilities include but not limited to:Lead engagements at Manufacturing clients to address the pressing issues faced in the industry related to updating and transforming manufacturing facilities with new technologies to increase throughput, improve quality, lower cost of operations and increase sustainability. Conduct interviews / workshops / walkthroughs with subject matter experts and process owners to elicit and document requirements Understand key business processes in manufacturing and supply chain like engineering, production, quality control, inspection, procurement, planning, distribution, warranty, returns, etc.Gather and analyze business requirements, processes, design and develop data maps and business cases required to support transformation initiativesCollaborate with cross-functional teams across the client organization and Infosys on Manufacturing and Supply Chain transformation programs and initiatives Provide leadership and mentor junior consultants in the engagement teamCollaborate with other streams including technology delivery streams across Infosys to deliver a compelling value proposition to the clientPublish thought leadership and insights on manufacturing industry trends and related challenges and opportunities, including the impact of and opportunities from AI in ManufacturingSupport business development activities, assist in presales and sales process. Support client plant team in running plant operations, perform system transactions, along with coaching existing plant team members. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent requiredMinimum of 5 years’ experience with Manufacturing Sector companies as a direct employee or consultant.Knowledgeable in manufacturing industry trends such as Industry 4.0, digitization, AI/ML, Cloud, etc.Experience in process improvement in business operations through analysis of current state, root cause analysis, developing insights, identifying solutions, and designing future statesStrong oral and written communications skills, including presentation skills (development of the presentation and executive level presentation)Demonstrated knowledge and experience in requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation Proven ability to lead projects, build strong and effective business relationshipsAbility to facilitate discussions, analyze and de-construct problems, develop structured solutions and categorize challenges in the project environmentHighly motivated with strong analytical acumen and problem-solving skillsAbility to travel extensively.Candidates authorized to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship are welcome to apply. Infosys is unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this role at this time.Ability and willingness to work as part of a cross-cultural team including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessaryProven ability to deliver under tight deadlines and challenging constraintsSpecific Qualifications for Warehouse & Dock Management Analyst :Able to commute to work locations in Marshall MI, 4 days a weekMust have strong materials management background working in a manufacturing environment along with SAP S/4HANA user experience.Warehouse & Dock Management Analyst is responsible for ensuring efficient inbound, storage, staging, and outbound material flows while maximizing warehouse productivity and inventory accuracy Manage inbound and outbound warehouse operations, including goods receipt, putaway, picking, packing, staging, loading, and shipping activities to support production and customer deliveries.Coordinate dock scheduling and yard activities by managing inbound supplier deliveries, outbound shipments, dock utilization, carrier interactions, and loading/unloading priorities to minimize congestion and delays.Monitor warehouse execution and material movements, ensuring timely completion of warehouse tasks, stock transfers, replenishment, and real-time inventory visibility.Optimize warehouse space and storage strategies by managing putaway rules, bin utilization, handling units, material staging, and warehouse layout to improve throughput and storage efficiency.Resolve operational exceptions and inventory issues such as receiving discrepancies, damaged goods, dock delays, picking shortages, shipping errors, and warehouse task exceptions.Track warehouse and logistics KPIs including dock turnaround time, picking accuracy, shipping performance, inventory accuracy, warehouse productivity, and on-time delivery while driving continuous improvement initiatives.NoteWe understand that no candidate is a perfect match for every requirement.
