Respiratory Therapist- Ocala, FL

Location: Ocala FL
Type: Full Time/Permanent
Shift: Night (Rotating weekends)

Summary:

• Under general supervision the RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) will perform all respiratory care related duties.
• Set up and administer all routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures to patients of all ages.
• Responsible for the application and operation of acute care ventilators used for continuous short and long-term mechanical ventilation.
• Respiratory Therapists are expected to be self-directed in the absence of the full-time Team Leader.
• Maintain all department and hospital records and enter accurate information into the hospital computer for the therapy as given.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate respiratory conditions and vital signs.
• Conduct diagnostic tests like arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and pulmonary function tests (PFTs).
• Administer oxygen therapy nebulizations and mechanical ventilation.
• Perform airway management including suctioning and intubation assistance.
• Manage ventilators and monitor patients in ICU settings.
• Provide emergency respiratory care during cardiac or respiratory arrest.
• Educate patients and families on managing respiratory conditions.
• Work with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain calibrate and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment.

Qualifications:

• Looking for 1 years of RECENT (within the last year or Current) Acute Care RRT Experience! *Not Considering CRT Experience
• Florida licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist or eligible for state licensure.

Night Shift diff: $3.25
Weekend diff: No
Sign On: Up to $25k (Nights Only)
