Qualifications: Required: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing Bachelor’s degree in nursing Preferred: Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and demonstrated writing skills Certifications and Licenses Required: Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement BLS certification through American Heart Association ACLS certification required within 6 months from date of hire Complete 8 hours of continuing education in the area of cerebrovascular disease annually Scheduling Requirements: Night Shift – 7:00 pm to 7:00 am Every other weekend required. Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs Full Time Essential Functions: The Professional Registered Nurse provides quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act. The role includes implementing the hospital’s mission and goals through established policies, procedures, and performance improvement activities. This is achieved by organizing and administering individualized, age‑specific professional nursing care to patients within the assigned unit. The nurse incorporates principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s age‑specific needs and determine appropriate treatment modalities.
